Swanky earrings!
Every night I peruse red carpet photos to check out what everyone is wearing. Tonight, I came across these pics of Hillary Swank at the premiere of “PS I Love You” in Hollywood last week. I am OBSESSED with the platinum, gold and diamond chandelier earrings she had on. They are made by Neil Lane, who designs really gorgeous pieces for totally wealthy people and celebrities (rumor has it, he is designing Nicole Richie’s wedding ring- but again, that’s just a RUMOR). I spoke to Lane during the Oscars last year, and he told me gold as well as black onyx are going to be something we see a lot of on the red carpet in the form of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. And these babies do not come cheap. The price is available upon request which is code for: if you have to ask you probably can’t afford them in the first place!
What’s on the inside matters.
I found this picture taken at a party I threw in 2006- I love how you can see the entire contents of my handbag. What’s in there is pretty typical. The bag is a Botkier circa 2004. In the middle is my ginormous Vuitton wallet stuffed with reciepts (I obsessively get a reciept for EVERYTHING), and my allergy medicine. On the side, you can see all of my lipstick and glosses, keys and wallet which holds all the important cards-like my kinkos copy card and NYPD press pass. ALSO you can see all of my mail which I carry around all week until I can go through it on the weekends…
Productive day.
Instead of going holiday shopping, I decided to plow through my “list of things to do today” and I am happy to report I got through most of of it! Expenses: Done. Responding to random e-mails: Done. Invoices: Done. Woo!

How heavy do you think your hand bag is? The Daily Mail reports the average weight of a woman’s hand bag is 5.2 lbs!! What’s more, in the next decade we are going to see that amount go up to 6.6 lbs!! Carrying gadgets like iPods, Blackberrys, iPhones, cell phones not to mention the ten tubes of lipstick, lip gloss and chapstick are to blame for the added poundage. No wonder my arm feels like it’s about to fall off every time I carry my bag around!!

It’s cold and I need a new hat. I found this one by Eugina Kim and I absolutely LOVE it. The Owen hat is made of mik with grey fox ear flaps and retails for $695. This hat is seriously versatile. You can wear this with your $50 L.L. Bean puffy down jacket, and still look like a rock star!!
Things I didn’t do yesterday.
The DvF coat I should have bought yesterday. Boo.
1) I didn’t hit the Diane von Furstenberg sample sale. I think today is the last day.
2) Call my best friend Heather in Spain.
3) Call my best friend Natalie in San Francisco.
4) Work on my Zink story for March.
I HATE not crossing things off my list…
Baby, it’s cold outside.
I have to run out to a meeting now and it’s not only FREEZING outside, but it’s a snowing, icey sleeting mess. I wish I had these Tory Burch Winnie Rubber Boots to walk around in!! The ice storm that covered the Midwest is now here…

According to Lauren Conrad in a FoxNews.com piece, brightly colored reversible belts are so totally in for spring. I never quite got into the wide waist belt trend but these belts by Keggy seem acceptible. This is how I would wear them: Seven for all Mankind wide leg ginger jeans, a white tank top doubled up, and a pair of wedge espadrilles and gold hoops. For all you skinny minnys out there, this belt would look great cinched at the waist over a brightly colored dress!!
