Team SJP or team Olivier Theyskens?

Yes, I am pretty much done talking about Sex and the City but I do want to point out one thing- if Olivier Theyskens did indeed tell SJP this dress wasn’t worn by anyone else prior to her wearing it, that means he and his team were and are dishonest. I don’t really care if La Lohan or if a random New York socialte was wearing the dress before, the point is he wasn’t truthful and that sucks.

  1. I agree, as a designer, you should always be truthful to your celebrity client. But, I’m a little curious as to why SJP’s publicist hasn’t been pointed fingers on for this? Technically, the dress is “handled” by her PR team (knowing from experience), the press that goes out on crediting the designer also comes from her PR ppl. So, my only question is why didn’t anyone from her camp much less her own publicist notice the dress on Lauren Santo Domingo when she wore it at the MET Gala (which clearly was a few weeks before the premiere)?? And all the press about the “mishap” which is now getting national notice (see today’s People.com) is also coming from her publicist. Someone is being left out of the picture here, that’s all I am trying to point out.
